HOME FOR ELDERS

A Home for elders has been constructed by the side of the Ashram comprising of 35 single and double well ventilated fully furnished rooms with attached bathrooms. This building located in a 20000 square foot area adjoining the ashram was inaugurated on 2nd November 2008. Senior citizens in search of meaning of full life would be the preferred residents. They have to bear the cost of boarding and lodging, which would be charged at the actuals. The foundation also aims to provide support to meritorious under privileged girl students in terms of free home stay and financial assistance so that they can pursue higher education up to the post Graduate level. The Foundation in turn hopes that these students can contribute to the upliftment of the poor and needy of our society in the future. To those immersed in today’s materialistic world, Atma Darshana could be the place to seek that eternal peace, joy and happiness.

FACILITIES

  • The monthly charges include accommodation in a well furnished room, bed tea/coffee, breakfast, lunch, evening tea, dinner and milk before going to bed.

  • The food is purely vegetarian and would cater to the needs of elders.

  • Regular Health checkups would be done free of cost. Any health issues that require medical procedures or assistance would be directed to nearby Narayana Health or Oxford medical college hospitals which are located within 4 Kms on the same highway.

  • A health center is also proposed to start on the premises for which a building has been built.

  • Separate attendants/Nurses (male or female) will be arranged on request and the actual charges can be paid directly to them by the inmates.

  • All rooms are very well ventilated with attached bathrooms, wardrobes, TV tables and connections. Rooms are very spacious and elders are welcome to visit the place any time between 9 am to 6 pm.

  • 19 single rooms and 16 double rooms are spread across the ground, first, second and third floors.

  • There is a lift facility with a diesel generator backup for uninterrupted power for the rooms and the lift

  • A spacious kitchen and dining hall which is focussed on tidiness and a healthy environment.
