FIRE/AGNI
As we move ahead, just beyond the pebbled platform is a burning lamp, which symbolizes Fire, the most powerful of the energy forces. It represents the force of the spirit. It consumes everything and destroys our passion and vasanas(worldly desires). It is about energy and enthusiasm, the vitality of life. It is also about hope for the future.
It controls the stomach, spleen, liver, pancreas, adrenal glands by maintaining the body temperature and activities of all the organs. It helps in formation of blood, flesh, fat, bones and purification of skin, as well as production of juices essential for digestion.
On seeking the blessings of Lord Agni, devotees proceed to offer pradakshina namaskaras to the Navagrahas which represent the Solar System.
